We support Health Help International

The Caleb's Mission story and music

CDs are classics in their own little

way - because they were recorded

not just to raise funds for the charity

Health Help International, but to

show that average Christians, not

just the ones who get all the

spotlight, can create recordings

of high quality.

The story CDs are:

Heroes - the story of the work of

Health Help International

Caleb's Cool Yule - the

Christmas collection.

Angels - terrific collection

on the theme of angels in

our everyday lives.

CALEB'S COOL YULE!
Recorded 2001, reissued every year since.
The story, the contents, and the conditions.....

This recording is offered free (see below) to hospital radio stations, talking newspapers for the blind, prison chaplains, schools, churches and any benevolent organisation which can genuinely and creatively use such a project for those it serves.
The aim of the project is to raise awareness of our charity Health Help International, which provides medical equipment and supplies for the poorest clinics in rural Zambia - the kind of place where, in one true case, the healthcare of ten thousand people is served by one visiting nurse... who only arrives once a month.
Several radio stations and talking papers have already expressed interest in taking the project.
The project was finished on 18th October, and copies will be available almost immediately now. Some 'talking paper' studios already have their copies!
Copies to suitable good causes are free  -  but those organisations who wish to use the work are asked to acknowledge it with a suitable donation, or at least considerable publicity and promotion for our charity.
It truly did cost the artistes a lot of money, many hundreds of pounds, which may never be recouped (few of our charitable gifts ever are!)  - so, copies on cassette will be also available for sale from Nov/Dec, at an absolute minimum £7,(or $12) in an attempt to make back some of the cost. As a guideline, amounts paid for our last CD ranged from £20 to £100.  And this one is better...

The content:

* Joseph's Letter Home from Bethlehem, by pastor Ralph Wilson of America, read by Derek West.
* The Legend of the Fourth Magi, abridged from an unknown source, read by Richard Lock.
* The Gifts of the Magi, American and probably originally by O.Henry, read by Jean Summers.
* The 23rd Channel - the couch-potato's psalm!

... and several other poems, songs and funnies. The incidental music is carols done in lounge-bar jazz style, by Ian B.
Total length 45 minutes or so.

The conditions:
We're sorry we have to have any conditions at all, but here goes.
Free supply  -  we offer it in good faith, but we may run out.
Free usage - on no account may any organisation make any charge for the re-usage of this work. It is supplied in good faith and we expect it to be used in the same spirit.
Quality - original recordings, Aug/Sept 2001, were done on a Roland VS840 digital 8-track, and they are broadcastable-quality. In the event of any manufacturing fault, we can only promise to do our best to provide a replacement - but call immediately.
Copyright - copyright and royalties are, to the best of our honest knowledge, covered through MCPS Limited Availability Product licence.
Editing - organisations taking the product may 'lift' any item to use in their own projects. Whether that is covered by MCPS licence, I don't know, and organisations accept responsibility for copyright/royalty requirements.
Credits - in return for the immense amount of work that went into this, we think it fair to ask for a reasonable amount of credit - first to HHI, and we'd appreciate an explanation of what we do, and contact details. If you would like our director to give you a talk, an interview, or anything further, that's no problem.   Credits to Caleb's Mission are not asked for... but would be nice!
Donations  -  if you care to acknowledge the work with a donation, many thanks.  Cheques to Health Help International,  661 Chepstow Road, Newport, South Wales, NP19 9BT.   For donors outside Great Britain, please e-mail me... it's probably cheaper to post us a few bills than pay for a cheque to be processed through the bank!
* HHI is not responsible for any of this project, done in its name... I am.  We honestly believe that all practical and legal questions have been attended to, but any queries to me.

Charity-to-charity donations - we have been advised that some of our likely partners in this are prevented, by their constitution, from giving a donation to us. They cannot give away donations they have received, for the benefit of another charity.  So they have, very imaginatively, simply asked if we would sell them one, and have told us the price they want to pay! If you would like a similar arrangement, just ask.
