Ian's writing index

This section is for visiting publishers and editors who want to see what I can do.

Samples of features are here.

However, here's the basics -

I edit and publish Boughton's Coffee House, a trade paper for the retail coffee trade, and edit In The Cup for the same industry.

I have just finished a spell as editor-in-chief (whatever that means) at

Catalogue and e-Business magazine, and write for the two leading magazines in facilities management, FM World and FMX. I write on beverage subjects for Caterer and Hotelkeeper. We have written recently for OnOffice, the new and extremely stylish magazine for workplace design. We have even written recently for Cranes and Access, a specialist paper for those working at height! And we can do local paper work as well - I've just finished spells with the North Devon Journal (writing) and the Falmouth Packet (subbing).

We can do:

B2B, B2C, food and drink, showbiz and business - indeed, we can even make business advertorials interesting for general-interest readership.  We have a particular talent for off-diary and indeed off-the-wall feature ideas, even in straight B2B magazines - typically, our feature on the Ann Summers organisation !

The CV is here if you can bear reading the details.

Health Help International

and Caleb's Mission

The charity is  going strong.   Ian's latest book for HHI is Neesha and the Tentmakers.

New print now available at just £5 including p&p.

It all goes to the cause, except the postage cost. The writer doesn't take any cut, nor does the printer. Brief extract from the book here

Still available - Heroes - the CD of spoken-word stories from HHI. Goes with the chairman's brilliant book "Journey of Faith"

Probably the very best spoken-word CD of all produced for the HHI cause was Angels, which was an inspiration by the actress Jean Summers.  Absolutely super stories and effects, all on the theme of angels in our everyday lives.

Details of Caleb's story and music CDs for HHI are here:

Heroes   Angels

Caleb's Cool Yule

Love Is Come Again (the Easter CD)

 to be uploaded soon

And here's the link to the main HHI page.

CALEB'S MISSION

and the recording studio are quiet at the moment... but a new CD is half-finished.

Meanwhile, there is a new

Pretty Much the Best of Caleb

on CD.  This is pretty good - it's a mix of some of the gospel folk/blues tracks from our first two or three CDs, and a couple of tracks from the electric CD as well.  Excellent blues harmonica from Derek West on several tracks.

Details of our music CDs here:

Until we get a commercial page uploaded, any of the above are £5 from Ian, and all cash  goes to the cause.
